Where are we going?
DBA is committed to educating members of the public and relevant government organisations about deafblindness as this unique dual sensory disability affects an individualís communication with regard to reception and expression. The disability also seriously impacts upon an individualís social interaction and mobility. Further, deafblindness in children can profoundly affect family interaction, communication and education opportunity. With adults, the dual disability affects an individualís ability to function independently, as well as causing difficulties in developing social networks and independent travel.
