Hello I’m Paola Avila. I am Deafblind and currently living in Queensland.
For many years I have worked for, and with Deafblind people. I have helped advocate for Deafblind awareness to Government organisations and the wider community. There is a lack of awareness out there which is why I’m passionate in sharing our beautiful and unique culture with others to improve access and inclusion.
I also have my own business called iPaola, which is where I provide Deafblind Awareness training and Professional Development workshops.
I feel honoured to be part of the Deafblind Australia team and more specifically the National Information Program.
